| Your research paper requires that you use
scientific journals in addition to your textbook as your sources.
Please refrain from using Google, Wikipedia and Yahoo as they are not
scientifically-based research journals. At least four
different sources are required to meet the minimum standards for your paper
(see
Evaluation Rubric for detailed criterion), at least 2 non-internet resources. You may
use your textbook (1 source), and you may use internet-based resources.
However, it is recommended that you use at least two academic
journals to strengthen the support in your paper. What's the best
way to obtain research articles on my chosen topic that's fast and easy?
Use the
ProQuest database to locate information on your topic.
ProQuest is a database containing articles from magazines, journals and
newspapers accessed via the COC library. It really is a terrific source for
information on your topic because you can search for current research from
reliable academic sources. If you access
ProQuest on campus, no password is needed. If you access
ProQuest from off-campus, you will need to enter the following username
and password.

paper.
