CourseCompass is a dynamic,
interactive eLearning program. With CourseCompass,
you can access course materials, complete assignments online, and communicate
with your classmates.
MyMathLab is an
interactive website where you can:

Practice exercises to help with specific textbook sections

View a video for further understanding
·
Work interactive problems in the Multimedia textbook
·
Use customized materials prepared by your instructor
To
access your CourseCompass online course for the first
time, you need to register and log in.
Whenever you want to use CourseCompass after
that, you just need to log in.
To register for CourseCompass
To
register, you need a valid e-mail account, student access code, and the course
ID from your instructor.
Course ID:
______________ (obtain this by successfully
completing the online orientation quiz)
Your
six-word access code is located inside your student access kit. Lift the yellow tab that reads “Student
Access Code”
When
you have this information, you’re ready to begin:
1. Go to http://www.coursecompass.com
.
Click on the Register button (under the
Students section) and follow the on-screen instructions. When you are asked,
type your student access code and the course ID.
2. Type your
contact information, such as your name and e-mail address. Please
enter your name as it appears on your COC registration information. Use a capital letter only for the first
letter of your first and last name.
3. Enter
information about your academic institution. (College of the Canyons, zip code
91355)
4. Type a
personal login name and password; you’ll use this unique login name and
password each ti
You’re
finished! You can now log in to CourseCompass and start exploring your online course.
When you use CourseCompass for the
first time:
1. Go to http://www.coursecompass.com
.
2. Click on the
Log In button (in the Students section).
3. Type in the
personal login name and password you just created to open your customized CourseCompass page.
4. From the
“Welcome” page, click on the course “Math 060 Online, Spring
2006.” Then choose the “Installation
Wizard” link in the left column to check that your computer has the required
set-up and plug-ins. You must install
the plug-ins to properly view all features of the course.

What do you need to get
started?
What steps do I take next?
1) In
order to register, you will need to use the Course ID.
2) Go
to http://www.coursecompass.com and click on “Register” (Students Section).
Enter your six-word
access code found
inside your student access kit.
This code is found
under the yellow tab that reads “Student Access Code”
3) Register
only ONCE using the information above. You will create your own Login Name and
Password.
4) After
you've registered: Login (bookmark this
URL) at http://www.coursecompass.com using the Login name and Password you have
just chosen.
5) From
the “Welcome page” click on your course, then choose the “Installation Wizard”
link to check that your computer has the required set-up and plugins.
