You can now order official
transcripts online!
College of the Canyons has retained Credential's Inc. to accept
transcript orders on the internet via a secured site. No more
standing in line or waiting for the office to open!
Transcript Policies:

In accordance with the Family Education Rights and
Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), records may not be released to a third
party without the prior written authorization of the student.
However, we will use your electronic signature when you sign in
through Online Services.

Transcript requests will not be sent until all holds or
financial obligations to College of the Canyons are paid, including
fines or fees.

Only coursework taken at College of the Canyons is included on
the transcript. Copies of transcripts from other colleges will not
be provided.

Transcripts include Work In Progress for students enrolled in
the current semester.

Transcript requests will be processed in 7-10 days. A Rush
transcript can be requested and will be processed in 48 business
hours.

You can request CSU General Education and IGETC Certifications.
You can request hold for grades, certification, or degree posting if
needed.

Final grades will be available 3-4 weeks after the end of the
term.
Official Transcript Requests:
1. Internet Requests
College of the Canyons has partnered with Credential's Inc. to
accept transcript orders via the internet on a secured site. You
can
order official transcripts
anytime, 24 hours a day, online. You will need a user name
and password to use this option. If you do not have a user name
and password, you can create on under Student Profile. This will eliminate the need to
come to the College, stand in line, or mail in a request. This
service also allows you to
check on the
status of your order and will communicate with you via email
about your order.
2. In Person
You may request your free transcripts in person. Your first two
transcripts are free. The Admissions and Records office is
located in
the
Administration and Admissions Building on the Valencia
campus and in
Quad 1
on the Canyon Country campus.
3. Via Mail
If you wish to mail in your transcript request, you may fill out
the Transcript
Request Form, print it, sign it and mail it to:

Transcript Fees
Your first two transcripts are free. You will not be able
to order your free transcripts via the internet. The request for
your free transcripts must be made in person or by mail.
The cost of an official transcript is $5 and a Rush is $8. There
is a small handling fee charged for the order via the internet.
Attended College of the Canyons prior to
1990
If you attended College of the Canyons prior to 1990, you may not
be able to
request a login and password that is required for an
electronic signature. However, you will be able to request a
transcript online. You will need to use the Credential's Inc.
website and send in a written authorization to us so we may
release your records. You can log onto
https://www.credentials-inc.com/ to
order your official transcript. You can also print the
Transcript Request Form and mail in
the form using the instructions above.
Unofficial Transcript Request
You can now print or have an
unofficial
transcript emailed to you right from the College of the Canyons website.
Unofficial transcripts are free and can be printed from your
printer. You have the option to view it on your screen or have
it emailed to you. You will need a user name and password
to use this option. If you do not have a user name and password,
you can create one under Student Profile. If you decide to come on campus to request an
unofficial transcript a picture ID will be required.
Transcript Evaluation
You can have your transcripts from other colleges evaluated
to determine what courses will transfer to our college. Please
see the Admissions and Records office or the Counseling Office
at the Valencia or Canyon Country Campuses to request a
Transcript Evaluation form. Please have a copy of your official
transcripts with to be evaluated. For more specific questions
regarding transcript evaluation, please
schedule and
appointment with a counselor after you have had your
transcripts evaluated.

Grading Policy
Awarding grades to students is the responsibility of the course
instructor. The grading system and grade point equivalents are as
follows:

Excellent 4 grade points/unit

B Good 3 grade points/unit

C Satisfactory 2 grade
points/unit

D Unsatisfactory 1 grade
point/unit

F Failing 0
grade points/unit

The FW grade indicates a failing grade because the student has
ceased to participate in the class sometime after the withdrawal
deadline. The FW grade is treated in the same manner as an F grade for
the purposes of calculating grade point average, course repetition, and
academic standings for probation/dismissal.
