What
is a Scholarship?
A Scholarship is FREE money that is awarded to you based on
certain criteria and eligibility.
What does a Scholarship Cover?
Most scholarships cover Tuition, books, educationally
related expenses and transportation costs. However, each
scholarship is unique with different criteria!
If awarded a scholarship, how do I use it?
Once the scholarship is confirmed here at COC, credit can be
applied to your student bill to cover registration fees,
parking, and tuition. A bookstore charge card can be issued
to cover book expenses, and receipts can be submitted for
reimbursement. At COC, we try to limit “out of pocket”
expenses!
How Many Scholarships are there?
Over 100, the number and amount varies each year
What is the value of the Scholarships?
The average amount of each scholarship is $500.
Who is eligible to apply?
All academic divisions are represented and the following
groups can apply:

students and Veterans

Continuing and
transferring students

Full and
Part-time students
