One of the nice success stories to come out of Cougar baseball has been the story of former starting COC pitcher Dana Eveland, who in 2008-2009 was in the starting rotation for the Oakland Athletics. Although he is no longer in the majors, he is currently a starter for the Albuquerque Isotopes, a triple-A partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and turned some heads when he was recently named to the Pacific Coast League squad in the 2011 Triple-A All-Star Game.
The College of the Canyons Sports Information Department caught up with Eveland on a trip to Angels Stadium in Anaheim in 2008 as a member of the Oakland As.
