The Assessment Center operates on a walk-in basis and a photo ID is required.  All students must have an application on file with the Admissions Office before testing. The use of calculators is not permitted.  Test results are available as soon as the test is completed.  Our friendly staff will review your placement with you.

Hours effective July 6, 2009

Our assessment tests determine which English, math, or ESL class you will be eligible to take.  In order to receive the most accurate score, please allow yourself enough time for testing.  Estimated test time for Math & English is 1 ½ hours.

Please note that we no longer fax placement results to other colleges. There are still options for Distance Ed and online students who want to take their COC assessments at another college and transfer the results back here.  In addition, students who are not planning to come to College of the Canyons can arrange with our Assessment Center staff to proctor the tests using the account information of the transfer school. Please contact the Assessment Coordinator for information.
