Math, English & ESL Placement Tests

The Assessment Center operates on a walk-in basis. Students must have an application on file with the Admissions Office before testing and a picture identification is required.
The use of calculators is not permitted. Your test results will be available as soon as
you finish your assessment and our staff will review your placement with you.

  **ATB testing will not be available for the following dates
September 7^th through September16th**

Our assessment tests determine which English, math, or ESL class you will be
eligible to take.  In order to receive the most accurate score-
PLEASE ALLOW YOURSELF ENOUGH TIME FOR TESTING, AS YOUR TEST
RESULTS WILL DETERMINE YOUR COURSE PLACEMENT
(Estimated test time for Math & English is 1 ½ hours)

Please note that we no longer fax placement results to other colleges. There are still options for Distance Ed and online students who want to take their COC assessments at another college and transfer the results back here.  In addition, students who are not planning to come to College of the Canyons can arrange with our Assessment Center staff to proctor the tests using the account information of the transfer school. Please contact the Assessment Coordinator for information.
