Internship Description
TRAINING ASSISTANT - Under the leadership of the Department's Program Specialist, will support all training activities of the SBDC. Job will entail:
* Preparing flyers describing the upcoming trainings
* Establishing training schedules in coordination with the Center's trainers
* Ensuring the training schedule gets listed in local media
* Attending trainings as necessary to support the training effort
* Logging in attendees, helping balance training fees with trainer
* Attendance at trainings is available for further career development. Our offices are on campus in the new UCEN so will be very convenient for students. We are looking for smart, top performing self motivated students. We are a smart, entrepreneurial organization that interfaces with every type of business. Top performers will get opportunities to expand their responsibilities commensurate with their interests and abilities. Top performers will also get outstanding references from the Director that will help them achieve further academic and workforce goals.
Internship Qualifications
* Outstanding communication skills - verbal and written
* Computer skills (Windows, MS Office products)
* 3.0 GPA
* Faculty recommendation desired
* Professional business style and demeanor
Selected intern will be required to enroll in Cooperative Work Experience Education before starting the internship.
