Internships CWE-188
Thank you for your interest in the Internships Program
at College of the Canyons!
Internships give students the opportunity to gain valuable applied
experience and make connections in professional fields they are
considering for career paths; and give employers the opportunity to
guide and evaluate talent. Students participating in the College of the
Canyons Internships Program register in the Cooperative Work Experience
course “CWE-188.” Students are required to fulfill a number of academic
assignments, as well as, a required number of hours in the workplace,
while earning college credit.
In order to participate in the Internships program at College of the
Canyons, students complete the following steps:
- Students must secure an internship opportunity
with an employer independently, or through the COC Internships
database. Student without a secured internship opportunity will not
be permitted to participate in the enrollment process.
- Submit an application for Admission in the
Admissions and Records Office, or online at the following
website.
- Attend an Internships Information Meeting. The
meeting will be approximately 1 hour. Please click here for
Information Meeting schedule.
- Register as a user for the Online Job and
Internship Database. Once you have gained access, fill out the
student contact form located within the database.
- Students will be granted permission to register
for a CWE-188 section, once student has completed steps 1-4.
Students may register for the desired CWEE-188 section during their
assigned registration appointment date and time, by logging on to
their My Canyons account.
