Math 2 Org

A unique resource for those needing brush-up in math skills.  Assistance in English and Spanish on math definitions, topics, and formulae (searchable) from General Math through Calculus and Advanced Topics

Math.com

This site helps students with math regardless of what math level they are at.  Its strengths consist of in-depth tutorials and practice problems.

Research 101

From the University of Washington, this resource features an "interactive online tutorial for students wanting an introduction to research skills.

Study Guides & Stategies

120 study guides of learning strategies by professional educator, Joe Landsberger with over 800 pages of translations in 28 languages.

Study Guide Zone

A  set of free study guides for a variety of standardized tests commonly used for admissions, licensing and educational assessment made possible by a grant from the McNamara Educational Trust. (includes GMAT, MCAT, GED, California High School Proficiency Exam, CBEST, SAT, NCLEX-RN and many others).  Also includes a study resources directory full of useful college study tips.

Virtual Pamphlet Collection

From the University of Chicago's Student Counseling and Resource Service, a compilation of the best pamphlets from US universities organized by topic.  A huge and comprehensive resource!

A Reference Guide to Using Internet Sources-Using Primary Sources on the Web

This site makes it easier to cite electronic sources with guidelines from the Modern Language Association (MLA), American Psychological Association (APA), The Chicago Manual of Style , etc.

Paradigm Online Writing Assistant

English Professor, Chuck Guilford, provides instruction in the writing of many different types of papers, including informal essays, thesis/support essays, exploratory essays, and argumentative essays.  He also discusses the organization, revision, editing, and documentation of papers.  An interactive, menu-driven online writers guide and handbook.

Study Strategies Homepage from the University of Minnesota Student Handbook

An innovative approach to online study assistance.  Consists of assessment ( a study skills survey, one week time audit, study skills checklist, and taking the Keirsey Temperament Sorter), instruction in  and practicing of study strategies.
