The process of determining your eligibility for federal student
aid is the same for all applicants; however, there is some
flexibility for special circumstances. In some cases the Financial Aid
Director may adjust
the information used to calculate your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC)
to take into account circumstances that might affect the amount you and
your family are expected to contribute toward your educational cost.
Approval of petitions is not
automatic. Your petition will be reviewed by your Financial Aid
Advisor and then the Financial Aid Director prior to determination to
"approve" or "deny" your petition. You are required to make an appointment with your Financial Aid Advisor to
submit your petition.
