Circle of Friends

Dedicated to quality care and education, College of the Canyons Center for Early Childhood Education has been serving the children of college students and the community for more than 25 years. The Center provides a broad educational and creative learning environment that encourages social, emotional, intellectual and physical, growth and development of young children. It takes pride in its extraordinary, diverse and effective learning environment, benefiting both children and college students.

Utilizing state of the art technology and equipment the Center also serves as a laboratory to provide college students with a practicum working directly with master teachers. The Center's developmental program, with an emphasis on the "Developmentally Appropriate" approach to learning, is accredited by the National Association of Early Childhood Programs. This approach requires careful planning and monitoring of the total environment.

With the cost of materials and services soaring, the Center has been fortunate to receive support from the Circle of Friends. This support has helped to maintain the safety of the physical environment and provide the highest quality of learning materials and equipment for the children's classrooms and play yards.

The Circle of Friends is made up of community members, the College of the Canyons (COC) Foundation and the Center staff. It operates independently from the college as an auxiliary of the COC Foundation. This gives the Center the ability to maximize charitable gifts by providing the required tax status for its donors.

Gifts of $35-$299 provide you with recognition on the Circle of Friends plaque, invitations to special events, and the pride of knowing you are investing in our future generations.

Gifts of $300 and above provide you with recognition on the Circle of Friends plaque, invitations to special events, two complimentary tickets to the Drum Circle, recognition on the Building Blocks tribute at the entrance of the Center and the satisfaction of knowing you have made a difference in the lives of our children.
