Book of the Year 2008--2009
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

Join a campus-wide group of faculty, students and staff in an
exciting new venture. The Book of the Year Program is designed
to get as many people as possible, both on campus and throughout the
community, reading and talking about one book.
The Book of the Year will be discussed in classes, by campus and
community reading groups and will serve as the catalyst for other
thought-provoking projects in the arts and other disciplines.
Why not get a jump-start on
the Book of the Year excitement and read The Kite Runner as
soon as you can? It is widely available in bookstores and libraries
throughout the Santa Clarita Valley. The College of the
Canyons Library will have five copies available for two-week check
out (no renewals) to students, faculty and staff starting August 25.
If you have questions about
the Book of the Year, or would like to know how you can get
involved, contact English Professor Susan Cooper at (661) 362-3708
or at susan.cooper@canyons.edu
