Introduction
Books & Ideas is a Flex activity which provides a
forum for the College community to discuss books and other media such as
films. Books & Ideas sessions are held twice each semester. Anyone can
suggest a book or film at one of the sessions and the group will decide
whether or not to read or view the suggested title. The only criterion
for a book is that it is available in paperback. The criterion for a
film is that it is available for rent. The titles chosen will be
announced early in the semester, providing sufficient time for faculty,
staff, students and community members to read or view the selections.
The person who selected the title will give a brief critique and then
lead a discussion. Contact Leslie Bretall at
leslie.bretall@canyons.edu
for more information about Books and Ideas, or to suggest a book.
