What is the Emerging Leaders Program?

The program is designed to provide opportunities for College of the Canyons students to develop their leadership skills and techniques through participation in skillshops and to network with local leaders in business, industry and city government.

Student Development has established a partnership with the Small Business Development Center's Young Entrepreneurs Program (Y.E.P.) and the Santa Clarita Valley (SCV) Jaycees to sponsor the program.  Y.E.P. and SCV Jaycees are organizational partners with the SCV Chamber of Commerce and are comprised of people ages 21-40.  Many members work for various businesses and industries in the Santa Clarity Valley.  The majority of facilitators for the Emerging Leaders Program will be provided by members of the SCV Jaycees and SBDC staff.
