English/Writing Tutoring

English and writing tutors are available during all hours of operation at all TLC Lab Locations (the main campus, the Zone, and the Canyon Country Campus) to assist students with their needs. Tutors are able to help students through every step of the writing process from understanding the prompt and brainstorming ideas to the completion of a writing assignment for any class. Tutoring is provided on a first- come, first-served basis, and there are no appointments necessary. Tutoring sessions are 30 minutes or less, and students may return after revision for a second tutoring session. For assistance with non class-related writing such as resumes, dissertations, or personal letters/applications, please contact Career Center at the Student Center, room 123, or visit their website.

Supplemental Learning Activities: English and ESL

Supplemental Learning Activities are available in the TLC Lab for students whether required by an instructor or completed on a voluntary basis. These activities include Supplemental Learning Workshops, Practice Jams, and Guided Learning Activities (GLAs). These activities are not offered during winter or summer semesters, however, for the schedule of activities and more information on offerings, please visit the Supplemental Learning webpage.
