Continuing Student Registration

Registration is the process that is followed to
enroll in classes for the upcoming semester/term. Registration
appointments are assigned using a priority system established by
the Santa Clarita Community College Board of Trustees.
1. Continuing students will receive a registration
appointment in the mail or email prior to the start of the registration
process each semester/term. Please note- if
we have an email address on file, we will send all contacts to you via
email. You can obtain your appointment one
week prior to the start of registration using either the
online services
or STAR registration systems; (661) 255-2867
(for local calls), or 1 (888) 206-7827 (toll free from out of
the area).
2. Check the
Registration
Priorities Page for information as to how appointments are calculated.
3. Check the Priority
Grid for the dates
you will register.
4. Access the on-line registration system or call
the STAR telephone registration system on your appointment date
and time to register for classes.

online registration.

STAR phone numbers: (661) 255-2867 (for local
calls), or 1 (888) 206-7827 (toll free number from out of the
area).

You will have a 10-hour window to
select your classes during the priority registration period.

You will then be blocked from the
system until the “Open Registration” period. See the
Priority
Grid for the open registration dates.
Fees from your initial registration
appointment must be paid prior to entering the system during open
registration.
5. On-line registration instructions can be found
on the main menu under "Getting Started" or at Online
Registration Instructions.
- From the main menu, select "Create an
Account/Request a Login"
- Fill out the on-line form using the name submitted on your
admissions application, and enter your email address.
- Your unique username & password will be returned to you
immediately. Be sure to print the screen so that you have a
copy.
6. To use STAR registration, follow along using the STAR Worksheet as a voice guides you through each step of the process.

You will need your social security/ID
number and your date of birth to use STAR.

CAUTION: Do not hang up until
you have confirmed your selections and the STAR system says “Goodbye,”
or you will not be registered.
7. To access your fees using
On-line
Registration:

Click "Student Billing" to access
your fee total.

Click "Optional Fees" to purchase a
parking permit.

Click "Make a Payment" to pay your
fees by credit card.

Be sure to print your billing screen if you
want a copy of your fees total.

If you don't want to use a credit card
on-line, you may mail in or drop off a check or money order
for your fees.

You are required to pay your fees within
seven calendar days after registering. If you do not, you may
be dropped from all classes for which you've registered.

You will not be sent a bill. For more
information, got to the Student
Business Office.
8. You will be quoted a fee total over the phone
when using the STAR system.

You may use a check, money order, or a
credit card to make your payment.
9. Once all students have had a chance to
register, we open both registration systems to everyone who has had a
previous appointment to make changes to their original classes.

classes being offered section.
