The Great COC Birdhouse
Extravaganza:
A Celebration of Spring and A Tribute to Lee Corbin
April 21 - 30, 2008 |
Every year in the
spring the campus is host to nesting Cliff Swallows.
Inspired by this sign of birth and renewal, the Art
Gallery planned an exhibition of birdhouses. The
exhibition also honored and remembered former COC
Mathematics Professor Lee Corbin, who was known for the
detailed and charming birdhouses that he crafted.
Professional artists, students, college colleagues and
community members were invited to participate with their
own unique birdhouse entries for this silent auction
exhibition to support the Lee Corbin Scholarship Fund. |
