College of the Canyons sophomore kicker Jeff Flores put a 23-yard field goal between the uprights as time expired on Saturday night in front of a roaring crowd at Ventura College's Sportsplex to defeat Ventura College 36-34.

The College of the Canyons football team failed to score in the second possession of Saturday’s double overtime game, then allowed Cerritos College to score on the ensuing possession to fall 48-42.

The College of the Canyons football team tallied 506 yards of total offense, but made some crucial mistakes down the stretch that ended up costing them a victory, as the Cougars lost to Allan Hancock 34-27 Saturday night.

College of the Canyons returns home to take on the Allan Hancock Bulldogs tonight in Cougar Stadium in COC's conference home opener. It will be the 24th meeting between the two schools and the 12th time the Bulldogs have travelled to Santa Clarita. The Cougars lead the series 15-7-1 and are 9-2 in Cougar Stadium.

The College of the Canyons football team gave up a season-high 342 yards passing and six touchdowns to El Camino College on Saturday night, in both teams conference opener, and COC lost 42-21.

10-1-11 Canyons Falls To Grossmont

The College of the Canyons football team gained 320 yards of total offense on Saturday, but was held to only two touchdowns by Grossmont College, as the Cougars suffered their first road loss of the season, falling to Grossmont 38-14 in their final non-conference game of the season.

The College of the Canyons football team gained 538 yards in total offense Saturday, leading the Cougars to their second home win of the season over East L.A College, 42-17.

9-22-11 Canyons Set To Host East L.A. In Final Non-Conference Home Game

No. 10 College of the Canyons hosts Mountain Conference member East Los Angeles College in a non-conference match-up on Saturday evening. It will be the fourth meeting between the two schools and the second trip to Santa Clarita for the Huskies. In last season's meeting, the Cougars rolled over East L.A. 33-6. The COC defense held the Huskies to four yards rushing and collected four turnovers in the victory.

The College of the Canyons football team gained 509 yards in total offense Saturday, helping the Cougars to their first road victory of the season over Citrus College, 31-22.

9-10-11 Cougars Fall To Mt. SAC

The College of the Canyons football team gained 270 yards in total offense Saturday, but was held to a field goal and touchdown by the two-time defending state champion Mt. SAC, and the visiting Mounties outlasted the Cougars 17-10 in a non-conference game at Cougar Stadium.

The College of the Canyons will host Mount San Antonio Colllege at Cougar Stadium for a non-conference match up. It will mark the third meeting between the two football powerhouses, and the second in as many years, with the Cougars trailing the series 2-0. Mt. SAC also enters tonight's game as the two-time defending state champion, and has won 24 consecutive games.

The College of the Canyons football team caused five turnovers en route to a 44-23 win over the Antelope Valley College Marauders at Cougar Stadium in its season opener Saturday.

9-2-11 Cougars To Host Antelope Valley In Season Opener

Saturday's game marks the 13th meeting between College of the Canyons and Antelope Valley College. The Cougars lead the all-time series 9-4, including an 5-1 record in games played in Santa Clarita. Canyons has won six of the last seven meetings. The last game in the series was won by Canyons, 35-7, at Antelope Valley. COC's last win at home against AVC came in a 27-17 victory on Sept. 5, 2009, in Cougar Stadium.
