SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The College of the Canyons men's soccer team bounced back to .500 in conference play as it downed Allan Hancock, 2-0, Friday night at COC's Upper Field. With the win, the Cougars improve to 2-4-2 overall and 2-2 in Western State Conference play.

Canyons struck again, to start the second half as sophomore Nick Potter found newcomer Tyler Horcher who lobbed the ball over Allan Hancock’s keeper.
The Cougars finished the match out-shooting the Bulldogs, 15-12. Sophomore Brandon Davy led the way with four shots, while Thomas Pugliese and Tony Barron notched two apiece.
Miguel Lopez recorded his first clean sheet on the season on the strength of three saves.
Canyons will travel to Citrus College on Tuesday, Oct. 1, for a 2 p.m. match.
