10-17-08 Cougars Perform Strong At Mt. SAC Invitational
Complete Results
WALNUT, Calif. -
The COC women's cross country team finished in seventh place, while the men came in 10th at the Mt. SAC Invitational on Friday. The women had three top-50 performances on the afternoon - Desiree Cramer came in 22nd in 20:32, Jenna Perea was 28th in 20:52 and Corey Honeycutt came in 41st place in a time of 21:37. For the men, Thomas Stevenson was the top finisher with a 26th-place finish in 23:07. COC heads to the WSC Championship on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at Waller Park.

9-20-08 Cross Country Teams Have Top-10 Finishes At Orange Coast Invite
COSTA MESA, Calif. -
Sophomore Stephen Kent had another great race at the Orange Coast Invite this past weekend, finishing in third place in a time of 20:17 over the four-mile course. The men’s and women’s teams had top-10 finishes with an eighth and 10th place respectively. Desiree Cramer was the first woman to cross the line in a time of 21:25 for 35th place over a 4-mile course. Jenna Perea (22:02), Corey Honeycutt (23:06), and Kristal Serrano (23:28) all were part of the top-100 runners among the 173 athletes that competed in the women’s race. Cody Massie completed the men’s race in 21:37 for a 44th-place finish and Michael McEvoy turned in a 54th-place finish with a time of 21:37. The Cougars return to action on Thursday, Sept. 25 for the Lou Vasquez Invite in San Francisco at Golden Gate Park.

9-13-08 Stephen Kent Leads Men To Top Finish
FRESNO, Calif.
– The College of the Canyons men’s and women’s cross country finished its first community college race of the year in eighth and 12th place respectively on Saturday. For the men, Stephen Kent finished in eighth place, finishing the race in 21:23. Not far behind him was Thomas Stevenson (21:57) who came in 27th and Cody Massie (22:01) who finished in 32nd place. The women’s team followed Desiree Cramer (20:58) who completed the race in 47th place. Corey Honeycutt (21:12), Jenna Perea (21:17), and Brittany Uhl (22:20) rounded out the top 100 finishers for Canyons. COC will participate in the Orange Coast Classic on Saturday, Sept. 20.
