11-7-12 Cougars Sweep West LA on Sophomore Night
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The College of the Canyons volleyball team defeated West L.A. College 3-0, on a night when COC honored sophomores Sam Ralston, Kelsea Hundtoft and Cory Nua. Canyons had an easy night with the Wildcats as COC closest set was the third, when the team allowed 16 points. Ralston led the team with nine kills and 10 digs, while Nua also added nine kills. Ashleigh Tippet had 20 assists and team-high four aces. As a team, the Cougars notched 18 aces. Canyons will take the week off and travel to No. 1 Pierce College on Wednesday, Nov. 14 for a 7 p.m. match-up.

9-26-12 COC Loses Close One to Santa Barbara
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The volleyball team lost a heartbreaker, 3-2, to Santa Barbara City College tonight. The Cougars had a handful of miscues in the final set and lost 15-11 to the visiting Vaqueros. Kelsea Hundtoft led the team with 14 kills and Cory Nua added 12 kills. With the loss, the Cougars fall to 5-6 on the season. COC will start its conference season on Friday, as they travel to Glendale College for a 7 p.m. match.
