Bobic Inks With Humboldt State

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – College of the Canyons guard Andrea Bobic has signed a letter of intent with Division II Humboldt State.

"Andrea had an outstanding career at COC, both athletically and academically," head coach Greg Herrick said. "Although we're sorry to see her go, we're very hopeful that she'll make similar contributions at her new school."

The Lancaster alum was the most decorated basketball player on the 2007-08 team with First-Team All-Western State Conference and All-State accolades after a season that saw her lead the team in points and rebounds. The 5-foot-8-inch player poured in 17.7 ppg and pulled down 12.0 rpg during the regular season with a season high game of 32 points against West L.A. (Jan. 19). Bobic also had a record-breaking season when she broke the school record for most 3-pointers in a game as she sunk eight long-range shots in the same West L.A. game. Following two seasons with the Cougars, she became the third all-time career scorer at College of the Canyons with 1,003 points.

Bobic becomes the first player to transfer to Humboldt State under Herrick and the 22nd player to earn an athletic scholarship under the 17-year head coach.
