SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – College of the Canyons sophomore forward Dalisa Chapman has signed a letter of intent to continue her playing career with University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF).
“Dalisa was a two-year starter for us and provided leadership and stability to the program," College of the Canyons head women’s basketball coach Greg Herrick said. "Her efforts were rewarded numerous times with the many all-tournament, MVP and post-season recognitions she received. We wish her the best.”
Chapman, a Littlerock High School graduate, averaged 12.2 ppg and nearly nine rebounds per game, for which she was named all-conference in 2012-13. She recorded a season high 26 points in the fourth game of the year against Laney College on Nov. 23, 2012, going on to record 17 games with double-digit points, while posting nine double-doubles over the course of the season.
The UAF Nanooks are members of the Division II Great Northwest Athletic Conference and finished the 2012-13 season with a 5-21 overall record and 3-15 mark in conference play.
