11-4-09 Ashley Hill Puts On Show For Citrus

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. -
Ashley Hill notched two goals and an assist on Tuesday afternoon in the Cougars eighth win of the year. Hill scored her goals within minutes of each other in the second half of play at the 55th and 58th minute mark. COC held Citrus to only three shots on goal for Randi Lifsey's and Carolina Dozal's shutout in goal. With the win, COC moved into second place. The Cougars will travel to Santa Monica on Friday, Nov. 6 for a 3 p.m. match up.

10-27-09 Quintanilla Leads Cougars Past Mission, 3-1

SYLMAR, Calif. -
Nicole Quintanilla scored two goals and assisted on another in the Cougars 3-1 victory over Mission College on Tuesday afternoon. Quintanilla scored her two goals in the first half of play with assists from Erica Nua and Sarina Coutin respectively. Michelle Malette added the final score of the day in the 33rd minute of the second half with an assist from Quintanilla. The Cougars will host L.A. Valley on Friday, Oct. 30 at 4 p.m.

10-20-09 Cougars Finish Bakersfield Match With 1-1 Draw

The Cougars played to their third tie on Tuesday afternoon against Bakersfield College. COC scored its only goal on Kylie Trammell's penalty kick to close out the first half of play. Randi Lifsey had seven saves in goal. COC will host Citrus College on Friday, Oct. 23 for a 4 p.m. match.

10-13-09 Women's Soccer Ties Santa Monica, 3-3

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. -
College of the Canyons took 11 shots on Tuesday afternoon against Santa Monica, but ended up tying the game with the Corsairs, 3-3. Emma Wright notched a score in the 45th minute of the first half with an assist from Sarina Coutin. COC's Kylie Trammell and Erin Fyfe tallied one socre each in the second half to tie the score up with the Corsairs. COC will travel to Glendale City College on Friday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m.

10-9-09 COC Defeats Citrus On The Road

GLENDORA, Calif. -
The Cougar soocer team improved to 3-1 in conference on Friday afternoon with a 4-1 win on the road over Citrus College. Sarina Coutin notched a goal and an assist in COC's fifth win of the season. COC lit up Citrus in the second half, scoring three of the four goals in the final period. COC will face Santa Monica on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 4 p.m.

10-6-09 Cougars Improve Win Streak To Two With Win Over L.A. Valley

VALLEY GLEN, Calif. -
College of the Canyons women's soccer improved to 2-1 in Western State Conference matches on Tuesday afternoon with a 3-1 win against L.A. Valley College. The win marks the first time this season that Canyons has won two matches in a row. COC scored two goals in the first half - one from Michelle Malette and the assist from Emma Wright in the 12th minute and another from Kate Hall, with the help of Lauren Crone in the 31st minute. Wright garnered her own score in the 45th minute of the second half with an assist from Sarina Coutin. Carolina Dozal had one save in goal and Radi Lifsey tallied two saves. COC will travel to Citrus College on Friday, Oct. 9 for a 3 p.m. match up.

10-2-09 COC Evens Conference Record With Win Against Mission College

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. -
Four different Cougars scored goals, including two by Lauren Crone, on the way to COC's first conference win of the season. The 5-1 win over Mission College evens the Cougars conference record to 1-1 on the season. Kylie Trammell, Emma Wright and Crone added scores in the first half. Crone notched her second goal in the second half in the 39th minute with the assist from Emma Wright. Nicole Quintanilla ended the Cougars scoring with an unassisted goal in the 42nd minute. COC will return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 6 as they travel to L.A. Valley for a 4 p.m. match.

9-22-09 Hill and Crone Get Cougars Past Victor Valley

COC earned a 2-1 win on Tuesday over Victor Valley College for its second win of the season. Ashley Hill and Lauren Crone each scored a goal for the Cougars, as the team took seven shots on goal. Randi Lifsey had nine saves in goal. COC will travel to Pierce on Tuesday, Sept. 29 for its next contest.

9-8-09 Cougars Shut Out Against Santa Ana

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. -
College of the Canyons women's soccer team was held scoreless, 2-0, in the second home game of the year as they hosted Santa Ana. COC was led by Sarina Coutin who took four shots on goal and Carolina Dozal had 12 saves in goal. COC hosts Consumnes River on Friday, Sept. 11 at 2 p.m.

9-4-09 Justin Lundin and Team Notch First Win Of The Season

SANTA CLARITA, Calif.
- In the Cougars home opener, COC defeated Chaffey 2-1 for the Cougars first win of the season for first-year head coach Justin Lundin. With a even 1-1 record, COC took eight shots on goal. The first goal came from Sarina Coutin, who went one-on-one with the Chaffey goalkeeper as she slipped the ball into the net. The second score came from Ashley Hill, with the assist from Erin Fyfe. In goal, Carolina Dozal recorded eight saves.
