The women's track and field team finished in seventh place at the conference meet in 2008, following the lead of Brittany Uhl, who finished in sixth place in the 100-meter hurdles, third in the 400-meter hurdles and fourth place in the triple jump. At the state meet, Melissa Hampton competed in two events – the high jump and the heptathlon. She finished in seventh place in the high jump with a personal record of 1.60 meters (5-3), earning All-State honors. She also came in 11th in the heptathlon with 3,355 points. Uhl scored 4,043 points in the heptathlon for seventh place, also earning All-State honors.
