of the Canyons includes the following formats: online, hybrid,
and GO! online classes. Each of these options offers a variety of learning
opportunities and delivery methods. To find out more about

Instructor Orientation Letters:
Instructors have provided orientation letters containing
important information related to the course.
Please
read your instructor's letter prior to the start of class. Use
the link in the navigation bar at the left, or click
here.
The Blackboard and
CourseCompass Tutorials: Your instructor's orientation
letters will provide details regarding the online course
management system used in your course.
These tutorials will help
you learn how to enter and navigate your instructor's virtual
classroom.

The majority of online
courses at College of the Canyons are taught using the
Blackboard course management system.

Several courses use the
CourseCompass system. The instructions for this system are
located
here. Access code information will be provided in your
instructor's orientation letter.
Please note that you will not be able to sign into your
online course until the day designated in the schedule of
classes and/or the day indicated in your instructor's
orientation letter.
Once you have read your
instructor's orientation letter and completed the appropriate
website tutorial, any questions you have about the course should

New to Online Learning?
Designed to help you succeed in your online courses is
COUNSELING 070, "Distance Learning and Strategies for
Success." This is a 1-unit, credit/no credit course for students
who want to quickly acquire the basic skills necessary to be
