February 2010
Dear Early Childhood Education
120 Student,
Welcome to ECE 120 – 73282
Online. This course covers child growth and
development from birth to adolescence. It is 100%
online and there will be no face to face meetings.
In order to take this class,
you must have access to a computer, reliable internet
services and email. All communication is done
through email and discussion boards. You can use
your own computer or you can use the computers on campus
or at local libraries. Keep in mind that you will
need to access your online course at least three to
four times per week to be successful.
If this is your first online
class, you may want to take the self-assessments that
are geared towards helping you to determine if taking a
course online is a right fit for you. You can
access those self-assessments by going to the College of
the Canyon website and clicking on the online button on
the home page. There you will find the links to
those self-assessments, along with some other helpful
information.
