Applicants in the U.S.
with an F-1 status
(Part-time students)

In order to be
able to attend College of the Canyons as part time international
students applicants must have the following criteria:

A health
practitioner’s verification that the applicant is clear of
tuberculosis
-
Proof of
valid status
-
Applicable
authorization letter from status sponsoring institution
-
The forms
documents to prove the criteria above are as follows:
Concurrent
enrollment
Effective January 1, 2003, regulations allow an F-1 student to
be enrolled in two different SEVIS-approved F-1 schools at the same
time (concurrent enrollment), as long as the enrollment in both
schools amounts to a full time course of study.

the requirements before we can approve your application.
This is your checklist to make sure you have submitted all
required documents.

ISP Application with a photo (2in.x2in. size)
- Health questionnaire with a signature for an
emergency care
- Tuberculosis (TB) clearance by skin test or chest x-ray
- Copy of passport page(s) which
contains your name, picture, date of birth and its
expiration date
- Copy of visa page
- Copy of I-94 (Arrival/Departure Card)
(front and back)
- Copy of I-20 from your current school
- Authorization letter for your part-time
attendance from your current school
For
F2 part-time student
applicants, the following documents, which belong to their
primary F-1 status holder, needs to be submitted.

Copy
of the the primary F-1 status holder’s
passport

Copy of the
primary F-1 visa
-
Copy
of the primary F-1 status holder’s I-94 both front and back side
-
Copy
of the primary F-1 status holder’s current I-20 form
-
Letter from the primary F-1 status holder’s education
institution verifying that the F1 status holder is in
“good standing”
