On-line orientation is required of all new and first time to College of the Canyons non-exempt students. It provides valuable information about the services, programs, and courses available at the college. Students who successfully complete the online orientation will be given an early registration date.

The New Student Advisement workshops welcome new students to the college, and teach you how to plan first semester classes and register online.  The workshop is held in a computer lab. The new student advisement sessions are hands-on, practical workshops set in a computer lab. By the time you finish a session you will have:

• Clarified your educational goals

• Practiced how to navigate the Schedule of Classes online

• Learned how to balance your classes and manage your time

• Worked out a primary and alternative semester class schedule

You will also receive a COC student educational planner, other valuable materials to introduce you to the vast resources of the college! The workshops have limited space so reserve your seat soon!  (Workshops will be made available for sign-up 2 to 3 weeks prior to the workshop date.
