Three real life cases of ethical violations in medical research and treatment illustrate the kinds of ethical choices that can arise in a health sciences career. Ethics seeks to understand what morality is and how we ought to go about making moral decisions. Working though these cases can increase awareness of what may be at stake when we are faced with moral problems.
