Rock the Rhythm, Beat the Odds celebrates the unique partnership that exists among the K-12 Arts Education Outreach Program and the Santa Clarita Valley's school districts, businesses and community members. This special event will showcase more than 7,100 local 6th- and 7th-graders, as well as more than 3,000 community members in the stands, in one historic effort to break a Guinness World Record. With Mickey Hart of The Grateful Dead and Remo Belli of drum maker Remo Inc. leading the downbeat, Rock the Rhythm, Beat the Odds is designed to both entertain and raise awareness of the value of arts education as a vital component in the development of The Whole Child.
