College to Host Federal Hearing on Textbook Prices Subject: A public hearing on textbook prices organized by the Advisory Committee on Student Financial Assistance, which is part of the federal Department of Education. This hearing is part of a one-year study requested by Congressman Howard P. "Buck" McKeon. Time: 9: 30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2007. The information gathered will be used to inform recommendations in the final report, due to Congress by May 2007.
