Community College Chancellor Drummond Visits
Dr. Marshall (Mark) Drummond, chancellor of the California community college system, visited College of the Canyons on Tuesday, May 9. Drummond spent most of the afternoon touring college facilities, followed by a reception in the COC Performing Arts Center lobby attended by college administrators, faculty and staff, as well as elected officials, business leaders and community members.
Drummond became chancellor of all California community colleges on Jan. 18, 2004. As chancellor, he leads the 110-campus, 72-district community college system. Prior to his appointment as chancellor, he served as chancellor of the Los Angeles Community College District.
