Free Summer Classes Offered to Adults This summer adults will have the opportunity to take a wide variety of free summer programs through the College of the Canyons Community Extension specifically designed for older adults. "Our older adult learners and instructors are fabulous," notes Karen Gorback, associate dean for community and continuing education. "The classes are taught by instructors who value the life experiences of adult students and provide ample time for questions and interaction." Beginning June 12, classes such as Computers and You, Creating a Safe Home Environment, Painting in Oil and Acrylics, Lifelong Learning Through Current Global Events, Art Appreciation, Gentle Exercise, Film Appreciation, and Writing Personal Histories will be offered at various locations throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.
