Three Summer Classes Just Added at Canyon Country Campus
English, History and Philosophy Classes Meet Now Through Aug. 20!
Three classes -- English 101: English Composition, History 111: U.S. History I, and Philosophy 101: Introduction to Philosophy -- have just been added for the summer session at the college's Canyon Country campus. The information about each class is as follows:
English 101: English Composition ENGL-101-72545 Units: 3 - UC:CSU, May Be Taken Once for Credit Prerequisite: ENGL-091 or ENGL-094 Meets 1 to 3:10 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in CCC-403 July 20 through Aug. 20, 2009 Instructor: F. D'Astoli Description: Builds expository writing and critical reading skills through the composition of well-organized, full-length essays containing properly documented evidence and the analysis and evaluation of college-level readings.
History 111: United States History I HIST-111-72544 Units: 3 - UC:CSU, May Be Taken Once for Credit Meets 1 to 3:10 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in CCC-304 July 20 through Aug. 20, 2009 Instructor: C. Converse Description: Surveys American civilization, from the Pre-Columbian era through Reconstruction. Meets Title V American Institutions U.S. History requirement for the associate degree.
Philosophy 101: Introduction to Philosophy PHILOS-101-72547 Units: 3 - UC:CSU, May Be Taken Once for Credit Meets 2 to 4:10 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in CCC-402 July 20 through Aug. 20, 2009 Instructor: L. French Description: Topical introduction to philosophy, including Western and non-Western philosophy. A survey of major philosophical figures and philosophical issues.
Interested students are encouraged to register for these classes as soon as possible.
