16th Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair at College of the Canyons
College of the Canyons is holding its 16th-annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 15 and 16. This event is a fund-raiser for the classified staff of the college. The proceeds are used for staff recognition activities and, in 2003, paid for a wish granted to a terminally ill child.
The colleges Classified Coordinating Council (CCC) promotes the event, which is a showcase of handcrafted items from all over the state.
Vendors will offer clothing, wood items for home and yard, candles, incense and incense burners, ceramics, holiday decorations and ornaments, and dolls and teddy bears. Local artists such as Linda Spagnolo of China Rose will show some unique painted tin and wood pieces; Doreen Adams will have her birdhouses and hand-painted signs, as well as accessories for home and garden. Special floral pieces, finely crafted stuffed animals and much, much more will make the fair a fantastic pre-holiday shopping experience for the community.
The COC Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair is an opportunity to find unique, lovingly crafted items for keeping or giving.
The fair will be held in the college parking lot on the corner of Valencia Boulevard and Rockwell Canyon Road. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, and, in conjunction with the Sunday Farmers Market in this same lot, the fair will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16. Admission and parking are free.
