Spanish Institute to Return in January; Registration Begins in Early November

The popular Spanish Institute will return to College of the Canyons in January with a weeklong series of classes geared toward professionals who have a need to understand the Spanish language.

Classes are scheduled Jan. 14 to 18, and registration begins in early November.

The Spanish Institute, held several times a year, offers participants a near-total immersion in the Spanish language and culture through classes, special events and field trips. It also allows students to learn the language at an accelerated pace.

Although anyone may take the classes, they are especially relevant to those persons working in the medical, teaching, business and law enforcement professions. Classes include Spanish Social Conversation I and II, Spanish for the Medical Profes-sions, Spanish for Teachers I, Spanish for Law Enforcement and Spanish for Business.
