We are a non-profit professional organization.
We provide quality seminars and continuing education programs for our
members and interested people in the community. We also volunteer
in a resource capacity for community health-related activity.

Meaningful Duties |
We volunteer to help at the L.A. Marathon medical -
and stations in whatever capacity is needed at these stations (along the
race route). The students are invited (as citizens in the
community) to join us in these volunteer efforts in whatever capacity
they are capable of. They will be assisting licensed professional
health care personnel as community citizens.

Students would still contact Anna for this opportunity, and she
would schedule them to work in the resale store. Goods are
donated to the American Cancer Society, and our students would
sort, tag, and sell these items in a retail environment.
Students who wish to commit 6 months (at least 4
hours per week) must attend a 2-hr orientation training given 4 x a year
(October, January, April, July).

Offered |
Assists people
with developmental disabilities in becoming and remaining active
participants in their communities. Supported living services
generally assist people with some, or all of the following:
locating housing, going to dinner with a friend, personal
assistance in and around the home with meals, laundry, chores,
bills, roommates, etc., shopping & budgeting, other community
access needs. Individualized day services provide up to five days
per week of career planning and community support which can
include: seeking and maintaining a job (paid or volunteer),
enrolling in classes at college or adult school, enrolling in
recreational or hobby classes.
