Habitat is building in Pacoima, CA on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays also most Saturdays. Volunteers need to call and be put on a volunteer list and given instructions before going to the site.

Hart Park Eco Friendly Native Garden

Services Offered The Wm. S. Hart Park is designing and developing an ecofriendly, drought resistant native garden on a flat area around the Ranch House. The ½ acre garden will be half-sun/half-shade. Hart Park is most concerned about water conservation and planting native landscaping.

Our students will work with Norm Phillips on several aspects of this project: research, landscape architecture, maintenance.

The HMNMH volunteer program requires the submission of an application package – available at the Volunteer Services Office or by email.  The program requires a commitment of 100 hours/six months. This is based on a single 4 hour shift, once a week.  Adult applicants (over 18 years old) are processed quarterly.  After submission of the application interviews are scheduled followed by a mandatory orientation.
