Leukemia Lymphoma Society

2011 Light The Night Walks:

Saturday, October 1 – Sunset Gower Studios, Hollywood

Saturday, October 22 - Warner Center Park, Woodland Hills

Saturday, October 29 - Bridgeport Park, Santa Clarita

More than 450 volunteers are needed to ensure the success of each Walk, so we truly appreciate your willingness to donate your time.

Here is a short description of the 3 volunteer shifts:

Morning Shift: 10:00 am – 3:00 pm- this involves setting up for the event (i.e. unloading storage containers, hanging banners, folding t-shirts, filling our balloons with lights, setting up materials in different tents, etc.)

Afternoon Shift: 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm – our festival begins at 5:00pm with our Walk beginning at 7:00pm, so this shift involves set up, interaction with participants (i.e. registration, handing out balloons, t-shirts, food, acting as greeters, parking monitors, etc.), and tearing down the booths

Evening Shift: 6:00 pm – 11:00 pm – this shift would involve acting as route monitors/”cheerleaders” and then would assist with the tear down of the event

Thank you so much!  Please let me know if you have any questions.  And remember, the time you contribute supports The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s efforts to find cures for blood cancers.
