Penny Lane cares for over 1500 abused, abandoned, and neglected children in the Los Angeles, Commerce, and Antelope Valley areas - offering residentially based treatment services, foster care, and adoption services. Penny Lane also offers transitional services for former foster youth who would otherwise be homeless, and a low income housing program.
 

Meaningful Duties Assist with workshops, classes, and continuing education seminars; special events including holiday children and teen parties; general clerical; and foster children activities.
 

Currently Penny Lane would like to work with Early Childhood students who are interested in helping with Kindergarten Readiness. This will require a semester commitment and would be scheduled on Thursdays, 10am - 12pm throughout the semester.

Penny Lane also offers Title One Tutoring Monday - Thursdays, 2pm - 7pm.  Volunteers interested in primary subject tutoring and ESL are urgently needed.

Services Offered PCH provide tattoo removal services for ex-gang members and others for whom the tattoo is a barrier to employment or safety.
 
Meaningful Duties Provide pre and post care for patients, filing, directing patient flow, taking pictures, data entry and may perform other types of duties as assigned or requested.

Organization Description 348 acre Natural Area with a LEED-EB Nature Center (Silver Rated).  We are a State Park, leased and operated by the Los Angeles County Department of Parks & Recreation.
 
Volunteer Duties (Light) grounds maintenance, building maintenance, animal care, dissemination of information to calling and visiting public.  Hiking/park inspections.
