given to the Santa Clara River, our oak heritage, and five significant

SCOPE has service learning opportunities
for students interested in environmental and conservation issues as they
apply to the Santa Clarita Valley. Volunteers will learn about the Santa
Clara River and other conservation efforts underway locally. Service
projects will be designed around the student's environmental interests
and address a local conservation issue or public review process. This
service project will be of special interest to biology students,
environmental science students, government, English and geography
students as well as those that have an interest in the environment
generally.
