UC Minimum Transfer Requirements & Filing
Periods

| Unless you were eligible to attend the
University of California from High School (see UC Application
booklet in order to determine), you must:
Complete
60 UC transferable semester units with a grade point average of at
least 2.4 gpa (Note: this grade point average is not
sufficient for many UC campuses and/or major programs)
Complete
the following course pattern, earning a grade of C or better in
each course:
Two transferable college courses (3 semester or
4-5quarter units each) in English composition (see COC IGETC Area
1 Group A and B)
One transferable college course (3 semester or 4-5
quarter units each) in mathematical concepts and quantitative
reasoning (see COC IGETC Area 2)
Four transferable college courses (3 semester or 4-5
quarter units each) chosen from at least two of the following
subject areas: the Arts and Humanities (COC IGETC Area
3), the Social and Behavioral Sciences (COC IGETC Area 4), and the
Physical and Biological Sciences (COC IGETC Area 5).
