Appointment Preparation


Please be prepared to answer the following questions during your academic counseling appointment:

  1. What is your academic goal at College of the Canyons?​
  2. Do you plan to transfer to a 4-year university?  If so, which university and transfer major are you considering?
  3. Where did you attend school during your middle and high school years? From where did you graduate high school?
  4. Have you earned college units at any institution in the U.S. or outside the U.S.? If so, from which country and institution(s)?
  5. Do you have a college degree from a college/university in the U.S. or outside the U.S.? If so, from which country and    institution(s)?
 
 
To have your foreign college/university coursework evaluated for possible COC credit, it will need to be evaluated by a current NACES member and consist of the following:
  1. ​Detailed, course-by-course evaluation;
  2. Grades and units listed for each course;
  3. Upper and lower division course designation.
