The Path to Completion: What Classes Should I Take and When?
The Mathematics, Sciences and Health Professions School is concerned with helping students effectively formulate a pathway of classes to take each semester in an effort to support students seeking a desired A.S. or A.A. degree/certificate in one of our majors. It is important for students to work with their counselors, advisors, and faculty mentors to make sure they remain on-track each semester and thus enroll in appropriate classes. To assist with your educational planning, the disciplines below have created a suggest pathway of classes, consisting of both discipline core as well as general education complementary electives, that you should take to complete a particular degree. The listings below, arranged by degrees and discipline, outline a suggested pathway for students to take each semester at College of the Canyons (albeit may vary, depending on transfer institution, so you should always confirm with a counselor). Because many of our courses have required prerequisites, it’s important to adhere to the suggested pathway of classes as noted. Once completed, students are urged to visit Admissions & Records and file for a degree. Please feel free to visit any of the department faculty, department chairs, and/or the Instructional Deans if you have any additional questions. We hope you will find this information useful when planning your schedules during the various semesters as well as intersessions while at College of the Canyons.
