About the School
At College of the Canyons, the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences consists of programs and disciplines related to human society and the individual. These include the disciplines of Anthropology, Communication Studies, Early Childhood Education and Education, History, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology. 

If you have an interest in people, history, culture, human communication, political theory and government, the mind and human behavior, and theories and strategies of teaching and learning and want to put theory into practice, this school offers a wide variety of courses, certificates and degrees that can help prepare you for a personally fulfilling and rewarding career.

You can take classes in our School as part of a General Education requirement that will prepare you for transfer to a four-year college/university and success in a democratic society, or pursue one of the many degrees available.
