Introduction
This is an orientation letter to get you started with the course and to give you a guide to how this online course functions. This is not the course syllabus! That is found at the Canvas class website (see below).
Course Description
This is an introductory, non-mathematical, 3-unit course, focusing on stars, galaxies, and the evolution of the universe. It can broaden your awareness of the vastness and diversity of the universe and of your perhaps unique place within it.
CSU Transferable. UC credit limitation: No credit for ASTRON-100 if taken after 101 or 102.
What to Expect in this Course
This course is taught entirely online; including all weekly assignment, quizzes, and exams. You will be using the course webpages on Canvas every week.
