Source of Funding

During fiscal year 2000-01, the Board of Governors (BOG) supported a Academic Accommodation Center (AAC) Budget Change Proposal (BCP) to secure resources to address system wide deficiencies cited by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Civil Rights (OCR) requiring that the California Community College System afford students with disabilities equal and effective access to electronic information. The AAC program provides support services, specialized instruction, and educational accommodations to students with disabilities so that they can participate as fully and benefit as equitable from the college experience as their non-disabled peers.

We gratefully acknowledge the continued support of the Board of Governors and the Academic Accommodation Center stall at the Chancellor's Office
