TUTOR SPOTLIGHT:

TLC Computer Science tutor Anjum Poswal joined The Learning Center during the fall 2021 semester. She currently tutors CMPSCI-111 and CMPSCI-182 and is excited to tutor more courses as she continues her education at College of the Canyons. Anjum’s favorite professor so far is Professor Jason Berry (who you can also find helping students in TLC!). Anjum credits her gratitude for Professor Berry to his “understanding of how it feels to be a student” and how he is a “relaxing professor who explains concepts in a way that’s very clear and easy to understand.” Anjum’s favorite thing about tutoring is that she’s “not only assisting a fellow student to help understand coursework, but also explaining coding or helping them implement a program helps me not only improve my own code but help me grow as a tutor as well.” When she isn’t tutoring, Anjum likes to play video games and help out COC’s E-sports Gaming Club. If you’d like to invite Anjum to your class to talk about TLC tutoring, you can reach her at anjumposwal@gmail.com
